You are invited to participate in an exhibition, by making a self portrait in the form of a doll or a puppet. The works can be made independently or in workshops that spread around Tampere in May 2010.
A self portrait doll or puppet can depict a person in a realistic or in a symbolic way; It can be a ragdoll, a paper doll or a marionette, or one can move towards sculpture, collage, a piece of jewellery or even a scarecrow. The use of recycled and natural materials is warmly recommended.
The works should be delivered to the Pispala Centre for Contemporary Art during week 21 (24.5-30.5). If sent by post, the artworks should be arrived at 31.5 at the latest. The opening will take place on Saturday, June 5th.
